Here's hoping I don't get demoted or lose my job
Last night at work the other manager texted me to see what time he was supposed to come in today. I was in the middle of prepping meat and went to check the schedule. We have two schedules, one for this week and one for next week and I gave him the schedule for next week's wednesday. I got a text from the other manager at 11:30 telling me I gave him the wrong schedule and he was supposed to open today. Then the GM called me and asked where I was. I explained that I was with my niece in Twinsburg because i have to babysit. He explained that since there was no one there in the morning they ended up having to open at 11:30 (supposed to open at 11). He wants to have a talk with me the next time we see each other. Shit. I know it's my fault but I can't help trying to find someone else responsible, like the other manager who didn't give anyone his phone number so the red shirts who were supposed to open with him couldn't call to see where he was. They didn't call me either (though they probably don't have my number either). It kind of sucks because I like this store's atmosphere better than the one I was working at before but I keep screwing up in these little ways, and this one is a BIG WAY, andit just really sucks. I'm depressed as hell and supposed to be having fun with my niece and she's even trying to cheer me up. ugh. fml
