I really enjoyed it. I think Curse and Paladin may be my favorite books of the year :) I'm looking forward to reading the next book, although I'm a bit sad its with brand new characters.

I've heard lots of people grumble about the third one, partially because it does feature different characters, so I've taken a long break between them. Haven't read the third book yet, mind you, but when I do, it'll be a year from when I read Paladin, roughly.

The Gleik sounds pretty interesting, so thanks for mentioning it!

I really need to keep better track of what I read (and re-read - must make a new collection in my LibraryThing for that), because according to what I recorded, I only read five books in November, which I know for a fact is not true. Oh well ( ... )

My biggest disappointment was "Dark Currents: Agent of Hel" by Jacqueline Carey. I actually could not finish it.

After the problems I had with Saints Astray, I had no interest in trying something new, especially when I need to finish the Kushiel books, which are highly praised!

Shirley Jackson's "Novels and Stories (The Lottery / The Haunting of Hill House / We Have Always Lived in the Castle)" was another DNF. I saw her stories reviewed very positively on The Book Smugglers blog, but her writing did not work for me. Oh well, you never know if you'll like something until you try it :-)

Classics are always hit or miss with me. Usually miss. :)

Glad you caught up! :)

I like the six Kushiel books (Dart, Chosen, Avatar, Scion, Justice, Mercy) a lot . Didn't enjoyed Naamah's Kiss as much, so haven't tried Naamah's Curse or Naamah's Blessing.

I've heard some mixed things about the books that come after the original trilogy, but I have heard the last two (or maybe last one) really rocks. We'll see. I've got a LOT to read before I get to that point!
