Hm. Also, 'custard' and 'fish' in close proximity? Combined with the late lamented Amy Pond, someone on the writing staff is totally a hardcore Eleventh Doctor fan.
(((HUGS))) *sniffle* I thought I had braced myself, had seen the writing on the wall since 7.02, but I still am feeling more upset about Bobby's death than I thought I would. I loved him as a character, sometimes I was annoyed by how he was used as a character, but this episode... it reminded me of all the best Bobby brought to the plate and why he's such a meaningful part of SPN's tapestry. As a good-bye, it doesn't get more loving, to not only say goodbye on a high note for a character, but to also develop him with additional layers in the same process... and the Show pulled it off. HUGS!!!
Like I mentioned, Since season 2 I was pretty sure Bobby wouldn't be making it to the series finale in one piece, but it still is a hell of a hard thing to watch. Jim Beaver is a brilliant actor.
I'm chuckling a wee bit over Sam wearing his maternity blouse in Bobby's last, best memory. *g*
Yeah, there were bits of logic!fail (notably the whole Security situation), but overall I thought it was Made Of Awesome. Beautifully performed by all involved.
I did wonder how the real Bob Singer felt about directing an episode about The Death of Bobby Singer. One would think it'd mess with his head a bit...
Yeah, that white shirt with the pale blue design. It only buttons down about 1/3 of the way and is really puffy below that. It looks just like a maternity blouse.

Yes, I thought that too!

Seriously, who puts custard and fish that close together without being an Eleven fan? XD

Yeah, this wasn't a comfortable episode to watch on a few levels, and the brilliance of Jim made it that much harder.
(I've started a comment-fic meme over at singer_salvage if you want to try writing Bobby fic?)
