It hits me about this time every year.  I look around and see piles here and there.  I see bits and pieces that have no place to go.  It drives me nuts!  I'm not a clean freak, I'm an organizational freak, up to a certain point.  The point at which other people's stuff comes into play.  Since I don't really have any control over this part of life I

Me too. And thanks to Ravelry, I have discovered the most effective thing to get me off the computer and on to cleaning-- A&E's show Hoarders. One episode, and I'm in the bathroom scrubbing grout with a toothbrush.

I'm feeling the same way. My house is a wreck! Unfortunately, with a three year old around, I can clean and clean and clean, and the next day it looks like I did nothing. A truly Sisyphean effort. *sigh*

Part of the reason I like organizing and hate cleaning is just that, it's never done, ever. Kids do complicate things like cleanliness! I can get organized and stay that way for a couple of weeks. Clean something up and you have to clean it up again in a day or two. Or a minute or two with kids around!
