Has anyone else ever heard of Zentangles? I'm having a hard time believing someone "created" a whole "new" method of DOODLING and trademarked it! Seriously?? It's a "discovery" that making art puts you in a meditative state? And these people are selling kits and CERTIFYING teachers for this method? Really?? Noodling
I hadn't planned on going to A Day in the Middle East, but since the fabulous mmcnealy is going to be elevated to the Order of the Laurel there, I'll be in attendance. I have no Middle Eastern garb, and while I know it's not a requirement, I've kind of gotten the bug to make a new outfit. I'm thinking of recreating this portrait. Numbers
I'm turning 37 tomorrow. When I turned 36, I was kind of excited about it. 36 seemed like a good age, old enough to not do (too many) stupid things, young enough to still be (kind of) cool. Hey Woodworking Peeps!
My dad has started teaching workshops in his shop and wants to know if there is interest in a medieval carving class. It would probably be next year sometime, maybe during the week but he might do it over a weekend if that's what students can do. Probably room for no more than 4 at a time.
