My response to the Stock Market Drop and the Web Bot October 7th dire predication....

"well.. if what I read was from March of 08... and they listed the Sept dates....then.. they have already been right.

ALTHOUGH... anyone paying attention knew that we would probably end up with a Financial crash.  I had folks telling me that 4 years ago.. and I ( Read more... )

Yesterday (and today) marked 4-year lows in the financial markets, with the biggest point loses ever. Curiously the previous Web Bot date Sep 20-27 2007 marked all-time highs for the markets. It's all a matter of perception, of course...

Yes, they were, Dow was over 14000 in end Sep 2007 and now it's under 10k and going lower! Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, all these financials in end 2007 were trading at multiples of their historical averages. Before that (2004) there was a huge boom cycle in housing stocks. And before that (1999) in the tech stocks... I used to keep track of the market trends in terms of moon cycles because they correspond a lot.

It's all been bubble and bust cycles since 1925 until now. No indication yet as to where the insane train wreck is going to next.

How reliable is this data? caelidh October 10 2008, 02:13:15 UTC
This was interesting:

Also, as pointed out in another thread regarding this date, the number of days between September 11, 2001 and October 7, 2008 equals 2584.

www.timeanddate.com...

2584 is also the 18th Fibonacci number.

en.wikipedia.org...

The first number of the sequence is 0, the second number is 1, and each subsequent number is equal to the sum of the previous two numbers of the sequence itself, yielding the sequence 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc.

The Fibonacci sequence is the golden ratio found occurring naturally over and over. Considering that time itself could be a loop, or a spiral, then points along the golden spiral might be of significance.
