Back in the wild, wild East...

It took me four days to write this post. That should tell you something about the state of my braincells... Funny, I didn't do anything strenuous. I'm reading an awful lot right now - something I haven't done in a while - but that's all. Or maybe it's because I'm starved for books and have a hard time putting them down ( Read more... )

Oooh, where did you find that lovely binder? (And how much was it, if one may ask? And do they have it in different sizes?)

Leuchtturm 1917 has a nice website and you can find the link to the shop at the bottom of that page. Those binders come in 8 different colours, and cost EUR 15.00 a piece - which is a very good price for these things, if you consider the quality. :)

I bought mine at a small, cramped stationery shop back at home - but now that I've found that site I'm tempted to order another, just to replace the ugly ones I already have. Odd that even in Leipzig you only find the cheaper, less pretty versions... ;)

Awesome, thank you! I've been looking for something like this for a while, so I'm really excited now ;) And 15 € is quite reasonable, too!

Yup yup! :D I am. So much so, in fact, that I have absolutely no desire to grow up and apply for a job... ;)

*hugs*

I'm wildly excited by those binders too, they are exactly what I've been looking for to use as jewellery design folders. Now if I can only get the English version of the site to work - my German is a bit rusty!

Well, the international Lighthouse 1917 shop website can be found here, but I'm afraid that they only offer the albums and other paraphernalia for stamp and coin collectors internationally. The rest of their stationery items can only be found on the German site... And I couldn't find an appointed dealer in your area, although they say they are represented in the UK. How odd...
Maybe ask at a local shop if they can order these things for you? I mean, you do know that they exist, and that "Lighthouse/Leuchtturm" has them. :)

Ohhh, paper making kit! That's something I might look into - I know I've seen them at my favourite art supply shop. Handmade paper is just fantastic! It's different to the touch, so much more alive and telling its own tale with the slight bumps and creases... and it smells differently. Not to mention the way the light seems to play with its surface in ways it never does on machine made paper... *geeks*

I would have posted a pic of me with my new, old hair colour... but my dad gave me pics he made on a newfangled USB stick and I can't get my poor old comp to read that. So I'll have to wait for my mum to visit, and ask her to take a decent picture of me. :)
