With each piece of work you post, I get more and more impressed with your talents. If I ever am in a position to need artwork, I'm commissioning you. :-D Beautiful!

*blushes* Too kind! What you don't see are the years of practice and mediocre results that eventually lead to this - and the tons of paper wasted in the process... *g* But I'm happy so many people like what I share.

If I ever am in a position to need artwork, I'm commissioning you. :-D

I'd be honoured. :)

That is just the most fabulous thing. I love your watercolors mightily.

Why you are not working in the art industry is a mystery to me.

Oh that's absolutely gorgeous! I love the colours, and James' very elegant legs and green eyes, Andrew's crinkly hair and wave-patterned waistcoat and the real sense of enjoyment in their postures and expressions. I also love that the music is scattered all over the place - it's very informal and casual as if this is something they do a lot and don't have to stand on ceremony for. And the poem in the background really adds to the, heh, harmony of the composition :) Very stylish!

Thank you! That was a lovely comment - and it really shouldn't surprise me anymore that you seem to notice all the tiny details that meant so much to me when I drew the first outlines... ;)

Glad to hear that you think the relaxed, informal mood comes across so well. I was worried that adding the sonnet would be over-the-top, but it was too fitting and perfect not to do it. And I felt all professional for adding a digital touch to my art ~ after all, I suck at drawing with my graphic pad. Nothing will ever replace the good ol' pencil-and-paper work for me, as my hands won't adapt to anything newfangled. *g*

Also, I had way too much fun with the clothing... more "civilian dress" pieces might be forthcoming after this. It certainly helped fuel my obsession with period clothing again. :D

As you already know how very, very much I love that picture (it's one of my favourites, hands down, love every dot and dash), let me just repeat once again how very much I adore Gillette's expression. So much love, really.

*smooch*

It really makes me happy beyond words that you like it so much! And a happy artist is easier to inspire... *g*
