What I did today.

1) Visited a genuine Alabama WalMart. It contained lobsters. Lobsters. In WalMart. The universe no longer makes any linear sense whatsoever. Also, lobsters

Having worked for a time at Walmart ('swhy I started my own business) I can assure you that Walmart in general has _never_ made any linear sense.

Still, I'm with ya on the lobsters.

They were all clattery and weird. As lobsters tend to be.

I find lobsters impossible to eat, because they appear to be aliens.

I knew a guy who retired from the Air Force (noncom rank, Tech Sgt or some such) to become a Walmart greeter in Alabama, or maybe Mississippi. I don't mean "ended up working as a greeter to supplement his retirement pay", I mean "went off to be a greeter because that was the thing he really wanted to do".

Well, good for him. I mean, if that was his bliss, yay that he could follow it.

I fly back to California tomorrow morning, from Birmingham. It's been fantastic. And yeah, she was hurling, like, MY BODY WEIGHT in cotton. Epic cotton fight.
