So the scanner? Yeah, the scanner is now officially dead. Those of you who have been wondering whether I abandoned my comic strip (all six of you): it's the scanner. The scanner has been getting harder and harder to make nice with over the past few months, and it just offered a resounding 'fuck you, dino-girl' before keeling over completely ( Read more... )

To howeird's point, maybe you can get a secondhand scanner somewhere, maybe even for free?

Have you tried Freecycle? You'd be surprised what people give away. It can't hurt to join your local group and ask. You're supposed to offer something first, anything will do.

It's also a great way to divert things from landfills that are still usable :)

What size scanner do you require? 8.5x11 or 8.5x14? I know I have a couple of spare scanners on hand that are collecting dust. I THINK they have the power cord handy. NO drivers disc. (I will confirm they work.)

Only problem. The scanners are in NY.
