If I ruled the world, media edition.

Having recently gone on, at length, about how much I'd love to see Neil Patrick Harris play Seymour (Little Shop of Horrors) with Nathan Fillion as Oren Scrizello (DDS), I have decided to list the other improbable-but-I-want-them media concepts currently on my personal chart.

10. Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld in trade paperback format. This was ( Read more... )

television, horror movies, contemplation, comics, x-men

6. Wouldn't this be lovely. I read the first three or four of the wolf series and just got tired of them. I want more of the athanor! Or failing that at least a new series.

Thanks to Tor giving me a free copy, I'm about halfway through the first one. Our heroine seems trembling on the verge of Mary Sueism, otherwise it's not bad thus far. I'd like to know before I go further though - does the story in each book END, or is it one of those never ending sagas where nothing really gets resolved like a certain Wheel that ran over me awhile back?

They're not bad, per se...I just lost interst and I really enjoy her other books far more. (the Changer series especially is lots of fun) It's been awhile since I read one but if I remember correctly the main conflict in each book is resolved in each, there's just lots of plot threads hanging to lead into the next one.

I'm still not entirely sure why this series is the one that stretched into a long one...the characters are shallower than many of her other books.

That the current crop of "the protagonist is gay and it's okay, this isn't a coming out story" in YA extend to lesbians and other members of the queer spectrum as well.

Basically, I want Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan, but for chicks.

Season one was awesome. Season two was awesome. Season three was a mucky mess of trying and failing to be dark dark darky mcdarkson. Now we get season four, where they'll hopefully pull themselves out of the mud, bring back Jo, and get on with the business of totally kicking ass. Because that would make me happy.

I second that whole-heartedly. And after they decided to make Jo a real character in "Born Under A Bad Sign" instead of just trying to write Dean's perfect match in the other three episodes, I really would like to see her back on the show. (Though, I have hope for season four. Their budget got cut again which means they have to make character-centric episodes again. Hurray! \0/ )

As long as we're dreaming, how about that promised sequel to Buckaroo Banzai? Doesn't need to have the same actors, obviously . . .

Only if they get someone who can sing "Since I Don't Have You."
