Haunted houses are love. Also Embalming Fluid and hayfields.

So I got home Saturday night to find two packages waiting on my doorstep, both for me. Score! I love getting mail. There's almost nothing better in the world than getting mail (that isn't bills or just random trash). So I squealed, did a little dance step, grabbed my surprise goodies, and retreated into the house to make with the opening ( Read more... )

primping, bpal, good things, gratitude

glows in the dark.

WAY COOL!

Do the math.

Embalming Fluid Nail Polish=Awesome + Win ? or maybe Awesome ** Win? :)

I just could not resist sending that nail polish when I spotted it. It was TOO perfect, and I'm glad it will be put to good use! (I had such a hard time not mentioning it in email, too. Oof.)

I will have to snuffle at Hay Moon wistfully. One of these days (i.e., when I find the perfect one) I'm going to have to break down and buy a scent locket so I can actually wear some BPAL scents instead of playing the "how quickly will my skin totally eat this" game.

You Did Good. It's fabulous, and I'll try to get a picture of my manicure so you can see how it looks on! (Also, you can see my horrible raggedy cuticles, but that's another matter.)

If you want an imp of Hay Moon, let me know; I can't decant until the next time I see Rebecca, but I'm happy to make you one. Also, let me know when there's another sale -- I continue my pursuit of the entire House!

Glee.

Seriously, manicures can sometimes *really help* raggedly cuticles. I was the queen of wearing flexible bandaids on multiple fingertips year-round. My record was seven of ten (not to be confused with a certain Borg) and my hands always *hurt*. :( And here I always thought I "bit my nails". Now I realize what I was actually doing was "trying to scratch and soothe itchy digit skin using only my teeth and saliva." (Well, that and avoiding leaving fingerprints at the scenes of crimes.)

Tara said something similar -- that she got a manicure to stop herself shredding the skin around her fingers. So hopefully this is going to make it possible for me to keep my damn fingers out of my mouth already.

Good heavens. Those titles sound like BPAL has an Edward Gorey Collection.

...well, kinda, yeah.

Only The Ghastly Garden makes me smell like Oleander de Merelands. And then the creepy comes.

Only vaguely related to this (because I, too, love getting mail that isn't bills) I got my copy of Stars Fall Home today! And the most awesome thing is that since I spend a really large quantity of time browsing your website, I can already sing along with most of these songs, even though I've only heard the 30 second snippets of everything but Sycamore Tree. ^^ You are made of win, I think. Win and gore, possibly, but definitely some large percentage of win.

BTW, I have a Mongol Post package to deliver to you this weekend whose contents I'm not allowed to reveal. Please remind me to pass it along to you if the reception's been going for more than an hour and I haven't yet. ;-)
