We have an Amy! Also, dogs.

We have an Amy! Well, specifically, right now, Kate and GP have an Amy -- GP decided to be a God Among Men last night, and picked her up from the airport -- as Amy is unconscious in their basement. I went to bed alone after Supernatural, and woke up accompanied by a redheaded fiddler. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is what I call a take-out ( Read more... )

Now I just need to stop starting sentences with 'and' all the time, and I'll be able to pretend I understand the rules of spelling and grammar.

I've never had a problem with people starting sentences with "And" or "But" since I do it all the time. (Unless it's something formal, like a term paper.) Of course, this is coming from someone who insists on spelling "all right" as "alright" and writing "never mind" as "nevermind" even though I know they're incorrect.

On the way to the office this morning, I encountered a Great Dane, three pit bull terriers, a Dachshund, something floppy and gray, and a gigantic wooly-haired THING that seriously looked like the result of mad science gone wrong.

The first time I read that, I thought you were saying you acquired all those dogs and it had me wondering what the cats would think. I need to slow down.

And now: dogs. On the way to the office this morning, I encountered a Great Dane, three pit bull terriers, a Dachshund, something floppy and gray, and a gigantic wooly-haired THING that seriously looked like the result of mad science gone wrong. I asked his owner what breed he was; she said 'Muppet'. Honestly, I don't think that she was even a tiny little bit wrong. It's difficult to come up with anything else that dog could viably be. 'Muppet' probably works the best.

Do you perhaps mean a puli? They're a very old breed of herding dog and a very big deal in Hungary: a Hungarian expat of my acquaintance has two.

Hey, dear, Paul and I have not only acquired tickets to see Tracy Grammer tonight at the Freight, but we have also acquired a babysitter, so we will be there too. Not sure when we'll get there to get in line, but keep an eye out, eh?

(Yay! I get to see Tracy Grammer!!! YAY!)
