Ten good things about today.

10. This is technically a good thing about last night, but: after my Weight Watchers meeting last night, Kate, Cat and I went to the House of Curry, where we picked up dinner and brought it back to the house to share with GP. Hunt. And. Kill! We filled ourselves with Indian food and watched an HD special on praying mantises. Watching GP ( Read more... )

tfabris is awesome in the world of me. Tony is a golden god. Tony is magic. Tony has continued his unbroken streak of producing my songs in a way that makes me cry-- and I mean really weep-- with how absolutely PERFECT they are.

Seriously. "Companion" is now like... pure distilled emotion given aural form. If you said "what does joy sound like?" the answer would be this mix.

To paraphrase Miss Dickinson,

1. I finished the demo I've been working on, so I don't have to do anything work related this weekend, unlike last weekend.

2. I've been confirmed for first class upgrades on both my flights next week (company meeting in Colorado). Getting to it was a royal pain, but having Northwest Platinum Elite status definitely falls into the awesome category.

3. Last night, I finally finished the book I've been reading.

4. Today, there's a reunion dinner for current and former employees of my former company.

And by the way, garlic naan is always awesome.

Apple? Was all set to chase Babe playfully today. My cats have integrated to the point that the new one feels safe playing with the established bully. (And the "bully" keeps chasing her into the cat tree and "treeing" her there. Babe? Can climb the cat tree again, I have seen her do it. She doesn't when chasing Apple.)

Right now, Apple is napping at hte top of the cat tree and Babe is on the bean-bag chair, which I think she loves even more than Scott and I do. It is a marvelous chair of mixed purpose.

The dishes are in the dishwasher, which means my kitchen looks better and I have one fewer task for the day.

I have one of your songs from Conflikt playing now. :)

And unless I change my plans, I am going to the Japanese Garden later today. I really need to check the weather and suchlike, but it should be okay.

I'm not buried in snow. The national news apparently was a little vague about which parts of Oregon are completely smothered, but this? Isn't one.

Attending Boskone next week to hear you sing. :) (I solidified plans this week to go.)

As for this week, the NYC house filk was good. (Another 6 hours of audio recording onto the hard drives.)

And work's new DNS server is working great. (I assisted in installing it today.)

Rehearsals? Tech Rehearsal??? skydancer February 8 2008, 20:18:12 UTC
It would be really cool if, for one of the later rehearsals you have up here, we could run one with sound...

There's never going to be a rehearsal where I have all the musicians in one place, tho; that might be a limiting factor...
