5:15 AM: Alarm goes off, terminating absolutely bizarre dream about going to Great America with Jon and Merav. (The dream was largely bizarre because it involved Great America being a chain, ala Six Flags; we all three went to the one in Jersey City, before I wound up somehow back in California, trying to go to the one in Santa Clara. Indeed.

I've been promising myself that if I wake early enough I'll play twenty minutes of DDR before showering but everyday I'm Zombie!Raevyn instead. Grrarrg.

Woke up at 4am with splitting pain in my side because one of my ribs was out of alignment. Damn my stoopid overly flexible ligaments and tendons. Yes, having a tendency towards flexibility is nice when working out, but I don't expect my ribs to haul up and move on me while I'm sleeping. GAH! *calls chiropractor brother for appointment*

*offers morning sympathy coffee*

There isn't one in Jersey City, but the one in Santa Clara was originally part of a chain, along with the one near Chicago. Six Flags has Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ, but I dunno how close that is to Jersey City.

The chain ended in 1984, so it was easy to miss. (And here's the actual link for Great Adventure.)

7:43 AM: Death of the Internet.

My brain is now trying to work out what this looks like. It's currently inclining toward something not entirely unlike Terry Pratchett's Death of Rats, only instead of a scythe, it's got really sharp wirecutters...

As to how my day was... well, I didn't kill any colleagues. I didn't even hurt anyone very much, and I think that all things considered, that was more than anyone could reasonably ask of me. Even if I did spend about an hour over the course of the day hiding in the ladies' loo crying.

I shall now go home and ring up the people who are still ignoring all my emails, dammit. I make no guarantees whatsoever that the part about not killing anyone is going to remain true...
