Morning.

5:15 AM: Alarm goes off, terminating absolutely bizarre dream about going to Great America with Jon and Merav. (The dream was largely bizarre because it involved Great America being a chain, ala Six Flags; we all three went to the one in Jersey City, before I wound up somehow back in California, trying to go to the one in Santa Clara. Also, at one point, Jon made me drive.) Hit the alarm several times. Hard.

5:16 AM: Having stopped the horrible noise, get out of bed. My flailing has once again managed to change the time on the clock; the alarm now thinks it's after seven. Make mental note to reset this when I get home. Make additional mental note to tell someone else to remind me to reset this when I get home, as my forgetting is preordained.

5:17 AM: Bathroom tasks. Attempt to dissuade Lilly from licking the plunger. Fail. My cat is a freak.

5:20 AM: Laying out clothes on the snake cage before going to bed means they're all warm and toasty when I get up -- yay! Get dressed. Feel a bit like a goth, as today, I'm wearing jeans, a black and red pirate shirt, a black camisole, a black bra, and Halloween boxer shorts. Oh, well. Halloween is every day.

5:22 AM: Take vitamins. Given that my morning dose consists of three multi-vitamins, an iron pill, a potassium pill, two flaxseed oil pills, and two calcium pills, ruminate again on the fact that I could be a seventies rock star without trouble, as swallowing handfuls of pharmaceuticals does not trigger my choking reflex. Have clearly missed my calling.

5:23 AM: Put book, pack of gum into backpack. Sit down at computer. Check email, check LJ, mess about.

5:35 AM: Leave house for bus stop.

5:40 AM: Reach the light. Hit the button to signal that I, being a pedestrian, would like to pedest. Am ignored. Hit the button several more times. What's that in the distance? That's my bus, which is, of course, early for the first time in months. Cross against the light.

5:41 AM: Reach bus stop three seconds before bus does. I am so Olympic class. Bus driver applauds.

5:50 AM: Get to station. Buy new BART ticket.

5:55 AM: Get on train. Read.

6:43 AM: Hello, San Francisco. Walk up the hill to the Safeway, where I buy DDP and flavoured water, and ask the clerk when the Doubleshots light will be in, as they're supposedly two dollars off, yet have never arrived. He promises to check with Leilani, as he's been wondering himself. Contentment.

7:02 AM: Office. Wheeeeeeeeeeee. The day, at last, begins.

7:43 AM: Death of the Internet.

And how was your morning?

technology, work, ducks
