I just went to save-and-file a letter from Mer, being the sort of blonde who never deletes anything she receives via email (because life is better when nothing ever actually goes away).

'Folder 'mer' not found,' says my email program. 'Create?'

Dunno what client program you are using but they usually have a trash/recycle bin that'd hold deleted folders until flushed. Any sign?

That or check your backup.

Hmm. Does a search on the generic letters folder also search all your other folders of saved mail? If not, it might be worth checking the nearby folders, like "merav," to see if they've somehow acquired extra messages.

That sounds scary. Maybe it has been "dragged and dropped" to a different folder by mistake and is now a subfolder of something? Worth a check ...

All my email has been reaching me, including the email you reference here.

Please remember that when you sent said email, I was hopped up on cold meds and talking to invisible lobsters half the time.

I SO feel your pain!!! Our email system here at work has it's occasional hiccups as well.

Maybe it's hiding somewhere and renamed itself?
