Jonathan Swift wrote about the problems faced by Ireland way back in the 1700's; in the article, "The Modest Proposal". Swift used language that sounded like they were from another time, in fact it was from about 280 years ago. And yet his words create images similar to what can be seen now, in the 20th century, on the streets downtown.
