Firstly, I would agree that after our orientation night. I was rather stressed as well when Debbie talked about past students in the class dropping out and not finishing. I thought yikes! could this be me? I have, however, noticed there are a couple of students in the class that I really enjoyed talking too and now there gone. :-( From the blogs I have read so far about final thoughts, I noticed your the next person who has said that you didn't really care for Holt's essay. I actually liked it, but I would not say it was one of my favourites. In reading "Green Winter" if was definitely a nice change from other essays we have read. I found the pictures Franke created really effective in getting her point across to the reader. I guess pictures do speak a thousand words. I would also agree that reading poetry would have been a very different piece of writing to analyze and most definitely a nice change from essays and articles.
