YAY YOU!! solosundance November 29 2012, 10:49:34 UTC
Fantastic!! Congratulations on getting there, you've done amazingly with all your catching up and keeping going (and enjoying it!) :D Yay, and a Pros novel, how brilliant is that? I haven't looked at any of my words since I finished *g*

Yeay and yeay and yeay to us both! *vbg* Though it's definitely not a brilliant Pros-y novel, and I'm a bit scared to re-read the whole thing (I can't count how many times I typed "Doyle glanced at Bodie" - they may make up about 75% of all the words I wrote...), and it's not finished, and... and... but there's 50,000 words of all that! *vbg* Yeay! *g*

PS - Your icon... *g*

That's because they look at each other a lot!

You wrote a Pros novel! Yay, you! Blockage over, we'll be expecting (more) great things from you now *g*

Have a fab weekend in London :)

Oh, I hope blockage over - it was fun to write again (though I'm not at all sure about the writing itself - don't expect too much...!) I don't know what the magic of NaNoWriMo is, but I like it... *g*

Shame you can't join us in London though - not even for a wee day trip?

I thought about doing NaNo but I'm no good with pressure. I start to find other things I should be doing *g*

London would be nice, but I'm working that weekend :(

You must stop working at weekends! (But only in a good way... *g*)

*\o/* go you! You got there! That's sterling.

Boss needs to pull her head in and leave you to do your work. That would annoy the hell out of me too.

Have a great Pros-y weekend; hope you have good weather for London. Looking forward to your photos, on your return.

Massive congratulations! I'm sure you've broken whatever blockage was there, but extra jobs/lack of time might well have been a big factor there. I'm really looking forward to your Pros novel!

Have a great time in London!!

I've decided to wait till Crucible of Gold reaches paperback.

November was clearly a good month this year because I didn't do nanowrimo but I did manage to get my short stories up on Smashwords and Amazon (details on my LJ).

Your boss is a pain. Any more news on the job search front?

Thank you! And yeay! The extra-job thing is definitely something to think about... it had ot be done for a whilst, but... hmmn. I'm also enough out of practice to be rather worried about this as a piece of writing, so... erk, we'll see!

I was going ot have to wait for CoG in paperback too, but I received it as a present, which made me very very happy indeed... *g*

Yeay NaNoWriMo and yeay your books being up too - I did see your post, but wanted to go and have a nose around before I commented, and as always things got away from me. Hope it's all going well, anyway!

I've only had a vague eye on the jobs front this month, what with holidays and NaNoWriMo and so on, but I have an idea or two that I need to think about more... I've not got back to Aberdeen guy though, not cos I don't mean to, but... I'm not sure where it would go, in some ways...

Go you! As one who seems to have trouble keeping up with anything at all at the moment, I am enormously impressed! Can't wait to read it. Also I owe you an e-mail, I'm sure, since we haven't managed to meet up as we sort of thought we might sometime in the last couple of months.

Consider an Ameribag to help with your shoulder - specially designed to help backs by distributing the weight properly and they have lots of pockets. See them here - http://www.thehealthybackbag.co.uk/ - I have several in different colours and they also come in different sizes. (And if you join up to their online club, they have quite a few at discounted prices). Not cheap, not all that expensive (unless you want the leather version, which is, incidentally, quite heavy in its own right) but an investment, I reckon. I'm sure cornishcat has one too, from a shop where she is, I got my most recent one from a shop in Church Stretton while I was there on holiday earlier in the year.

Thank you - though I'm not at all sure how readable the story is...

I owe you an email too - and a few other things, which have been sitting here waiting for you for aaages (partly cos one needed fixing, which is now done... *g*)

I remember your Ameribag (and Cornishcat's, and a comparative-conversation! *g*) - I like the lots-of-pockets, too. I actually tracked a few down to look at today too, at the one shop in town that's advertised to have them. They had just a couple of versions, and I was quite tempted - I stayed my hand only cos I wasn't sure about the lining, which seems to be the kind of material that makes my skin catch, if you know what I mean - a bit chalk-squeal-on-a-blackboard for my skin... but I like the idea of them alot, so perhaps I'll try to get over that...!
