This is from a Hindu temple we went to called Halebid in Karnataka South India. Its a small carving on the outside. Behind the chariot is a labyrinth.

Really beautiful. Perhaps the labyrinth is the mysetry of India. You can interpret it any way you like. That's the beauty. It does appear to be being driven along at spear point though.

found out that this carving is related to a Mahabharat story and represents something called a chakra vyuha. and this article that relates it to labyrinths.
