The telephone rang when Aoko was cooking the dinner. The whole flat was filled with the intensive scent of curry, Aoko has some curry powder in her hair and addition to that there was a trail from the white flour on her cheek. Actually in that moment Aoko didn't look too pretty. She was wearing her outstretched tracksuit pants and the apron which colour wasn't look good on her. And her hair... That was a complete mess

Kaito chuckled and winked at her. "It's a secret from the Kuroba family." He sipped from his own cup and licked his lips savoring the taste. Nothing like adding a bit of cream to make chocolate taste better

She was staring with shock at the place where he had been a while before, even when she heard the sound of the front door. It meant that he already left the flat, but it was still too early for her to fully recover from the state she was in.

Because his lips on her hand were so soft and she caught herself wondering if they would be so soft if she would kiss him...

This thought sobered her.

'Woman! Don't forget that you have a brain, stop acting like you were fueled by hormones.' she scolded herself mentally

And she wouldn't even she were awake in her room, he was still in his 'low profile mode' and didn't even make a sound while opening the front door.

Kaito stopped in front of his door to the read the note; he mentally laughed and went to scribble an answer in another sheet of paper, also sticking it later on her door for her to see it when she woke up.

"My apologies, I must have misplaced them by accident. I hope it wasn't too much. Let me make it up by taking you to lunch tomorrow, yes?" And he scrawled beside it a smiley caricature.

Once inside his comfortable bed, Kaito wondered how her face would have been when she realized it was his underwear ('She must have gone ten shades of red.’ He thought, smugly.) and what was going to be her answer...

Aoko ignored the unpleasant sound of the alarm clock and snuggled to her pillow even more, almost immediately falling back into her sleep

Kaito was still frozen on the spot. His hands still rested on the towel that, even though it covered the most important parts, it didn't cover all of it.

On the other hand, he had seen all of Aoko's body. And he would have to be blind if he at least didn't admit that she had a very very nice body.

"Uhhh..." He said with the few neurones he still had on him, and blushing quite red. "Uh, what?" 'She has such nice long legs.' "Well, I didn't think-" And did you see her breasts? Jesus...' "I-I'm sorry, I-" Why do I want to drag her back and kiss her? "I'll leave right away, sorry."

On the other side of the bathroom's door Aoko's blush was matching his. The picture of her more than a half naked roommate was still so vivid in her mind.

“It's okay...” she muttered loud enough for him to hear it. “I should apologize too... I should have knocked before. I'm sorry... I just...”

'Oh Kami, why I want to touch him? Why I want to check how his skin feels like? Why I want to whip off every drop of water with my fingers...?'

“Can we just forget about it? And remember for the next time to lock the door in your case and knock before entering in mine... Is it okay?”

She hoped she was sounding very convincing, because the moment she was saying this, something her brain just laughed off of her... Yeah like she was able to forget the view she had seen so quickly. Especially looking at him every day...

"I will." He answered, his mind still a bit gone from the shock. "I'll just change to leave the bathroom for you." With cautious steps, he neared the door to close it (not before taking an involuntary small glance at the girl leaning on the wall outside without her noticing).

Kait changed in record time and once outside he made sure to avoid looking at the girl and headed stright to the kitchen to prepare breakfast...which, in his opinion, was going to be reaaaally akward...and a new fear started to develop inside of him, which he resolved to discuss after she was done with her shower.

Still, while preparing two hoot mugs of coffee and some pancakes (yes, he liked american breakfasts), Kaito couldn't help but grin at the still very vivid picture of one gorgeous naked woman in his head...

Of course we are! But maybe we write that another week passes or something...

Aoko's shower was very quick. Wrapped in the towel, she left the bathroom and trying not to look towards the kitchen, just in case her roommate was in the line of her gaze (and he probably was as long as he was cooking, he was very much visible from the hall), she began to pick up the clothes she had scattered before

He sighed mentally in relief. He could stay. She wasn't even angry with him, sure she looked quite embarrassed, but he at least had expected two kinds of reactions:

1) For her to be extremely pissed off and kick him out.

or

2) She would have tried to drag him into the shower with her...

That’s what one of his fan girls would have done anyway; except Aoko wasn’t a fan girl, she was his roommate. A girl that had only showed him a friendly smile since the day he moved in and not even once had made an attempt to flirt with him. So, why had he thought that? What made him suddenly believe that Aoko would want to do something like that?

Could it be…? Had he actually hoped for her to do that? Had seeing her naked made him desire for something more

Aoko was about to say that because of the delay which was increasing with every second she was eating breakfasts now, she should skip the lunch break. But something in him, or maybe it was the way he said her name, stopped her before she could say a word.

Her name on his lips sounded so... so... When she called her by her name she felt like a woman, not just asexual roommate or scientist like she usually felt, but a hundred percent woman.

'Is it the reason why I'm feeling tickling sensation in my stomach? Like bunch of butterflies were flapping their wings...“Uhm... There is a nice restaurant near my department. My lunch break begins at 1 pm. But Kaito, it was my mistake, I should make it up to you

Kaito smiled sheepishly. “Well, not completely. You were right; I should have locked the door. I guess I was too sleepy to notice that, I had a rough night after all.” Really, he had counted with one of his favorite detectives to be there, but two? Tantei-kun was just too cruel with him sometimes… “Let’s just say that we both were at fault and we are even, okay? Moreover, I was the one who asked you out, so I’ll take the lady to wherever she wishes.” He winked.

And there he was again flirting with her. He just found she had the best reactions to his ministrations and couldn’t help but wanting to see more about them. They were really amusing and cute. He just wondered what would happen if she ever flirted back…maybe they would-

“Aren’t you a bit late?” He suddenly blurted, looking at his watch. His mind had been wandering on its own accord quite a few times since he got there, and he just couldn’t allow that. Not yet at least. “I mean, didn’t you say you had work?”

Short... Do we skipp to the next week/month or we write them at lunch?

“Gah...” Aoko immediately jumped off her chair. “I am so late.”

She took the last sip of coffee, cursed under her breath and looked at her roommate.

“Thank you for the breakfasts, it was really delicious.” she smiled to him, and not waiting for his reply she run off, hoping that she would be able to catch the the fast tram.

Waiting at the stop Aoko was wondering why she felt so strong urge to kiss her roommate, at least at his cheek, before she left.

And wouldn't it have been cute if she had kissed him? * w * hahaha! Skipping to next month!! 8D
