Have been MIA due to the winter lurg. Had barely recovered from an episode of laryngitis and sinusitis, when a cough came a'caughling ;). Then the 'flu, then bronchitis...which is now ( Read more... )

I showed the pictures to a friend at work and she tells me that the bird is a kingfisher, which is rarely seen, so I had a bit of a coup. :)

I knew it was not a robin by the beak, but I did not know for sure to come up with a name. Thankfully, I know people who know :)
