I think someone has Mal/Simon. So maybe you can claim Jayne/Simon. Or Inara/Jayne...or just Inara and write all these from her point of view--or where she is the main character.

Because when you sign up, you sign up to do all 26.

So, your AU could be that Wash never died. Or that Jayne and Simon are a couple. Or that Jayne is the companion and Inara is the mercenary or some variation on the crew make up. You could invent a new character (female?) and pair them with Zoe if you want to make it post BDM.

Honestly, the possibilities are endless.

*whispers* Not the same but I am attempting to write Inara/River/Jayne with lots of femme. I have some bi flisters who are great at giving pointers and advice and once I get some of these other prompts accomplished I will work on that some more.
