It makes me squirmy and secondhand embarrassed, but I'm pretty sure I clap my hands over my mouth and giggle like an eight-year-old too.

And yes, I think at times they would lurk around the different social networks. Hell, I would in their situation. Who hasn't googled themselves at some point or another? I'm sure they were surprised at first with what they found. Kendall seems to think it's funny, and so does Carlos. James doesn't seem bothered. Anyone who watched that recent ustream saw Logan's reaction which was to become super guarded. Regardless, it hasn't changed how they behave around one another that I've noticed.

I don't watch live chats or ustreams so I've never directly seen their reactions, but I've seen photosets that people have made from them with their responses. I guess that counts, idk. Logan reacts the way I probably would.

Well, Kendall's hip bone sure looks yummy...I stare at this and wish he just wouldn't pull down his shirt the next second...a girl has needs, damn it.

Yeah, well, I think everyone who's famous has to get used to their fans (and their different opinions regarding certain matters). And it's only a small crowd of slashers in comparision to the whole fanbase anyway, if you get what I mean. I'm pretty sure they read things posted about them, because seriously, who wouldn't be curious about that in their position. But I guess they don't really take it seriously or anything.

One thing I find interesting is how objectified they are. This could possibly be just how sexualized people are in general today and the fact that kids have the internet at their fingertips basically 24/7, but I don't remember thinking such radical thoughts about actors I liked when I was a teenager, at least not until my late teens. Not saying it's wrong or bad (especially considering I objectify basically any cute male in tv and movies)...just different.

I don't know if this even makes sense now that I read it. I just mean when I see people who are fourteen/fifteen saying they want to fuck the guys and some of the "btr imagines" things. I don't remember thinking that sexual thoughts about famous people at that age is what I'm saying I guess.

I find this culturally disturbing. A: that they imagine that with celebrities instead of just a kiss or cuddle or phone call and B: How casual it all seems, how desensitized they are to what they are actually speaking aloud/asking for/fantasizing about at such a young age. No, you do not want to have sex with some hot boy celebrity, you are way too young to be thinking like that! It makes me cringe when I see things like that on the boys' twitter accounts. I can't imagine how uncomfortable that would make them feel.

Then again, I am an old fart.

I feel the same. Coming from the Supernatural fandom (oh god), those guys get asked about it constantly, and that was the first time I'd ever experienced real life and fandom meeting in that precise way. I was not into it and it pretty much solidified my feelings about it.

It is mortifying that people would ask questions about something like sexual orientation, but a lot of fans feel entitled to. There are arguments to be made that celebrities should expect to field such questions. And there are some fans who feel like nothing a celebrity's life should be private because they're getting paid so much to entertain.

Personally, I can't understand why an intensely private, sensitive person would put themselves out there to begin with. Bizarre questions should be expected anymore. I'm not saying they should have to answer them directly, just be prepared to field them and roll with the punches.

Edit: I just wanted to add I don't think it's okay to embarrass someone, only that I'm surprised when a celebrity does show embarrassment/shock/offense to crazy questions.

Sticking my two cents in here to say I agree with everything jblostfan16 stated. James actually reading the question aloud aside, the only thing that's going to happen if inquiries like this continue is less and less fan interaction. And I wouldn't blame them one bit.

There was a case in the 1D fandom where someone linked the boys to a fic... I have no idea what kind of fic it was, but it was definitely slashy and explicit, and... yeah, anyway - that's what makes me kind of REALLY hesitant to post sexually explicit fanart on Tumblr, because most of the really YOUNG fans seem to be on Tumblr, and they just... I guess they just don't have the common sense to know that doing stuff like that is just not something you DO. Or maybe they think it's funny or cool - Idk.

Young people today... *shakes head* XD

Anyway, I definitely cringed a little for Kogan when I watched that Ustream. And is it just me or were Logan and Kendall sitting REALLY close together at first, and then Logan moved like, to the other side of the car, almost? So... yeah. Keep those things in fandom, please. :P

Although I find it really interesting that James and Carlos picked those questions in the first place :P They're total slashers

You make a good point, they certainly could have skipped right over those. Wonder if that was brought up later? Then next time some interviewer asks them what they argue about, they could say "how uncool it is to read inappropriate fan questions aloud while on a live feed".

(My fav part of ustream: Kendall: my mother and brother say 'hi.' Hi Mom, hi Kev.)

I know, right? I can imagine that there were a lot of those ship questions there, but there MUST have been some "normal" questions there too, so why would they choose to pick those? ;) And they also mentioned that one question that they "can't read" (probably because it was something sexual, I assume?), so... why even mention those things? :P

I think Jarlos totally love making Kogan uncomfortable. XD

And I can so see that, haha! <3

(Aww, yes, that was cute. XD)
