Watched Disturbai with my brother today. Plot: A kid under house arrest takes to spying on his neighbors and discovers that one of them is a serial killer. It wasn't a bad movie, but it reminded me of how much I hate plots in which no one believes the protagonist, much to everyone's detriment. Just saw 1408, which our local theatre got almost a month after the movie was originally released. I thought the premise of a writer trapped in an evil hotel room, ala Silent Hill 4, was promising, and it was. It's just that the execution wasn't particularly creepy. Transformers rocked. Story wasn't exactly deep, but things regularly got shot at and blew up, so that was awesome. There were quite a few funny parts too, or at least more genuinely humorous scenes than cheesy ones. Tonight, I saw "28 Weeks Later". After the first movie, it should be obvious that the 28 movies aren't about zombies, but rather how normal humans act in the face of a deadly viral outbreak. Considering the poor quality of most movie-to-game adapations, I've never really felt the desire to spend money on purchasing or renting them. Still, I've always been curious about them.
