OH MY GOD FLASHPOINT. We had the EXTREME pleasure of watching this courtesy of sdwolfpup and her big-ass HDTV, and DAMN. That was AWESOME. As was the company in general, as was the fact that as soon as the show started, zabira and mrs_laugh_track and I squished ourselves as close together as possible and proceeded to DIE TOGETHER REPEATEDLY for the next hour or so ( Read more... )

We should totally have Flashpoint at CanCon! We can always dl it Saturday and watch it on the projector in the meeting room y/fy?

But we could do both! In summer, the nightlife BEGINS at 11! And it'll feel like 9 to you!

But that is also good to know about the Toronto nightlife! I was wondering how that broke down. And it will actually feel like 8 to me, so that is even better. I will have just come off a plane earlier, so that is not ideal, but I think I should be able to rally myself. *g* And really, my plans are very nebulous at this point: mainly, I want to go to the Wheat Sheaf Tavern, because Hugh and Trent used to hang out there all the time. /superdork But I hear that it has a patio and is a great spot for people-watching, so... I am sold, pretty much!

I can't render my Flashpoint-related flailly textually yet, because it's still coming out "Hugh! Noun! Noun! Hugh! Gerund! Huuugh! EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!" So I'm pretty impressed by your use of complete sentences, there.

In re: the related note, I just wanted to say that I blame my case of Hugh flu entirely on you and that Eleven Reasons post you made. I mean, I enjoyed HCL and loved Durham County, and I thought the Headstones were pretty cool and played the HDRC cd more than alittle, but... it was more liking things he'd done than liking him. Even with the Hugh Flu dvd, I got more of a kick out of the fannish love and effort that had gone into creating it than I did from the actual interviews. Then you posted this, and I fell hard. I started waivering at seven and was sunk at six--especially taken together with his hosting Ink.

So last night-through-today's incoherence? Totally your fault.

HEE. Honestly, my brain was SO FULL when I got home last night--it was crazy! And then I woke up this morning and sort of went... wow. Did that really happen? Was there really just an HOUR of PURE HUGH PORN on my TV last night? And there WAS!

And I am SO thrilled that I have managed to share the Flu with you! \b/ \b/ \b/ There really is SO MUCH to love about him. I mean. Just his voracious reading ALONE is 150% of my RDA of awesome. So. YAYAYAYAYAYAYE for your Flu, I am very happy to take the blame! :D
