They're just donuts, you know. They're not love.

I stayed up way too late a couple of nights ago and am still sort of paying for it, and my hormones hate me, so I am feeling a bit subdued this morning, and not much like talking. Which is sad in that there are many exciting things to talk about, and I'm afraid I won't do them justice.

For example: I thoroughly enjoyed both The Office and SPN ( Read more... )

And yet, strangely, it still wouldn't have stopped me. A nice dose of plague always sounds good at the time. And in the Plague vs Cheese Fries cagematch, um, we both know who wins.

(I STILL WOKE UP HATING YOU AND ALL YOUR PLAGUE-LOVING PEOPLE STAND FOR.)

I blame most things on SDW. It saves time. I'm sorry you caught the plague, though! *pets you from a safe distance*

Loading is HARD! I remember the first time tried, I was all, "I'm a strong girl," and I'm sitting there trying to jam number four down and it keeps popping out. I felt like a five year old. Then I give it to the nearest guy and he's like, bip bip bip. I was all, "Apparently, I need to increase my grip strength."

YES, dude. I'm like, "how do people do this under pressure?!" It made me feel better that Mr. McK also had some trouble by the time the magazine was almost full, and he's pretty strong, but still. I had no idea.

Yeah, loading magazines is HARD. I think it's one of those skill-rather-than-strength things, though...the more you practice, the better you get. I also think that most police/military/etc. just carry extra clips, in order to prevent the whole reloading-under-pressure thing. Makes sense to me.

And was it just me, or did SPN fast-forward right on out of their classic rock soundtrack vibe last night? Am I just that old? Is Alice in Chains considered classic rock now? Yikes.

Yes, I do get the impression that there must be some trick of placement, because when you get them right, it's not that hard, but man. I felt like a dumbass. Hee.

And yeah, SPN has diverged from the classic rock thing occasionally--they used a Filter song, "Hey Man Nice Shot," in a S1 episode (which I think they were actually referencing last night when Hendrickson showed Dean the picture [which was from the scene that song was playing under] and said "Nice shot," and that gave me a chuckle), and then at the end of Simon Said they used Soundgarden's "Fell On Black Days" (to pretty good effect, actually), but yeah. I was a little disappointed in that last night, because I sort of hate that song. I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY DO TO THE ROOSTER, DUDE. I remember that being on the radio constantly in high school, and I got incredibly sick of it. Otherwise, an enjoyable episode, though. :)

Hey, I should send you some Headstones stuff. I think you might like them.

I've driven the crack_van three times so far (twice for BSG and once for Superman movie fandom in the small fandom month). You will have a blast! It's pure fun and you will surely make someone's day with your recs, so relax.

Re: SPN...

Maybe you can explain, because I didn't get it. Why, exactly, did Sam and Dean basically have to con their way into prison (before breaking out again) to whack a ghost as a favor for another hunter who already had full access to the prison because he worked there? Am I missing something? Is there a reason why the prison guard couldn't just do the job himself (and without attracting unwanted attention from the feds)?

I'd have to go back and watch again, but I don't think Deacon was a hunter, was he? Wasn't he a friend of John's from the Marines? So my impression was that he knew what John did for a living (obviously), but he wasn't a hunter, himself. I could be wrong about that, though.

That icon is GOLD, BTW.
