Easter Weekend

Places to Go, People to See.

Sunday was really good.  The chapel re-furb is done, the place looks amazing,  It's even better with the Church (which is the people) in place.  Cosham Baptist have long-loaned us a guitarist & vocalist (cos we currently have no regular musician to lead worship since the organist died),  Sunday they also loaned us a ( Read more... )

Yup, I thought that was particularly good too. Not sure I'd have wanted S there watching me give birth to D though, he'd have just turned 4 at the time.

I think that would be good for a boy. It would prime him with a deeper understanding of a womans body so that he can question later in life when society tries to tell him that it's for nothing more than sexual gratification and a way of gaining power.

So who was the lost Aussie?

We think our all time fav smell in the world is tomato plants. The way the hands smell after handling them.
I ordered some of those miracle tomato seeds from the Magna mail order catologue. Hills' father and I tried growing them. They got to about 6 feet tall in less than 4 weeks. They did put out tomatos but it all happened so fast. Then one day they died and he has grown tomatos his entire life. We figure they where not meant for this climate. It caused them to burn out before their time.
The package said, height to 3 meters. Grow in pots or in ground. Then the usual plant care instructions. A real disapointment.
Now we just stick with the plants now growing wild from the guinea pigs' throw-outs. They love tomatoes and I use their wood shavings for garden bedding. Voila! we have tomatoes growing all over.

Have a good one

Hills says "hi ya"

Eventually got the tomato seeds sown just before tea. They're now incubating in the front room window - which is about the most consistently warm, if not lightest, place.

All we get coming up automatically in the yard are weeds, mainly. Even the mint hasn't started up yet. Had to go buy some for mint sauce!

woot for the "middle wife" story
my personal opinion is that i want to be drugged up for birth, heh

on solar panels being used- the reason we dont have more is b/c of the expense, apparently, they are hugely expensive, i guess, or at least this is the excuse
not sure if i believe it!

have a good day

Solar panels expensive - so is any other technology which is just coming in. Remember how expensive computers used to be? Or mobile phones for that matter.

Sometimes it's necessary to decide what is important & fund it (rather than going knocking seven bells out of another country, or two - there is money for that!)

Good for them. Apparently you can get a grant to cover part of the cost of installing solar panels or mini wind-turbines on yr home here. Where? I'd like to know, & how much, cos we have vast, ok compared with other houses locally, areas of roof, much of it south or east facing, which could be usefully employed generating 'green' power. Come to think of it, we could install a wind turbine or two in the chimneys we don't use - those for the bedrooms.
