I was never really one for an Achilles/Hector pairing but I'll have to say that I loved this one.

It was beautifully writtin. Which means I'll have to find more to read. (Something other than the Achilles/Paris stories that I'm so fond of)

Thank you so much!!! They seem to lend themselves so well, especially with the respect and admiration each of them had for the other (in both book and movie). Kinda makes you think.

Glad you liked it!!

"And none shall be as long as I draw breath."

And the Gods were listening, as they always are when we wish they weren't.

Haven't seen the film, but this is true to the poem. There *had* to have been some acknowledgement - best to best - between these two, beyond what we are shown.

Lovely and sad.

Oh, absolutely. There was far too much respect on both ends in the poem.

Thank you for seeing that & commenting! Glad you liked it. *mwah*

really a beautiful piece of work~~
Achilles is a lone soul, simply cos he is the best in so many aspects.
Hector is finally a one that can stand beside him, a real opponent
And the battle between them's just so tragically beautiful

Too many Hector/Paris paring out there, and suddenly saw this one, and i go-> ^O^
