Coupling is so freaking funny. I was seriously disappointed when Jeffrey left the show though.

They tried doing Coupling in US (like they've done with The Office), but they only got through five or six episodes. It wasn't as good as the UK version, tho. Wish BBC America were basic cable :( When I saw PotC:CotBP, I yelled out in the theater, "Steve!" Oops. ^_^

I'm a sucker for the Hugh Grant/Richard Curtis movies -- they always make me miss the UK! So watch Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Love Actually.

And while you're at it, find the original version of Fever Pitch (the Colin Firth one, not the Jimmy Fallon one -- ignore the US DVD cover that makes it look almost like soft porn) and About a Boy. I saw About a Boy on vacation in Dallas and got very confused walking out of the movie theater and having to readjust my mental vision to realize that I was still in the US!

There's also a movie called Wonderland, which is slightly less uplifting but set in my old neighborhood -- at one point you look out of an apartment window and see the Chinese takeaway we used to order from!

we fly icelandair. i booked through their site and after taxes and fees and all that crap, it was $924 per ticket. I looked around, but there wasn't anything else that was cheaper.

Wow. That's a lot more expensive than it is to fly from Detroit.

The tickets were $738 before taxes and fees, so that isn't toooo bad. Honestly, I may have been able to get them cheaper if I waited until right before the flight, but then I'm not guarenteed to get a flight on the dates I want. Plus, I got my Christmas bonus and wanted to buy the tickets before I spent the money on something else!
