side note: how'd you book your tickets, and how much were they?

we fly icelandair. i booked through their site and after taxes and fees and all that crap, it was $924 per ticket. I looked around, but there wasn't anything else that was cheaper.

Wow. That's a lot more expensive than it is to fly from Detroit.

The tickets were $738 before taxes and fees, so that isn't toooo bad. Honestly, I may have been able to get them cheaper if I waited until right before the flight, but then I'm not guarenteed to get a flight on the dates I want. Plus, I got my Christmas bonus and wanted to buy the tickets before I spent the money on something else!

I understand. :) And also, I just looked up May flights out of curiosity, and they were only $150 or so less. So not as much as of a difference as when I last flew around that time!
