So, Nora has been having some spit-up issues for a couple weeks. I understand that babies spit up, and some do rather frequently, so I hadn't really thought that much about it. Well, on the chart of life-altering days, today should go down in the history of my life as one of them. Andrew and I are getting ready to go in to the hospital in about an hour and a half to start my induction, and with any luck, we'll have a baby today! So I feel now that my nursery is complete enough that I can bring a baby home into it. My friend Nick came over today and helped me do some wall decorations (they were too plain), and then he and Andrew put together my glider chair, so now all the essential parts are there. I haven't had any problems really with pregnancy insomnia so far. I love my sleep. Maybe I've had one or two nights where I had a little trouble going down, but given the chance to sleep in, generally I can sleep in. Took Mister to the vet at about 2:30. He did not have a fever, and his ears looked good. They checked his organs, and everything seemed to feel good-he didn't act like his stomach was tender or anything, so they said that was good, and ruled out a lot. They decided to do blood work because nothing else was raising flags, to rule out liver/organ ( Read more... )

So, there was more cat puke this morning, including a big, dried pile on the couch that I didn't realize was there until I had laid in it for about an hour or so. I called the vet's office and they suggest we bring him in to be seen by the doctor, which leaves me with a couple hard choices. So I'm kind of used to Bruce's sensitive stomach. He will occasionally get sick for no particular reason, but it's usually just once and that's all you see of it. Mister has never gotten sick since we got him, so finding piles of cat puke have always been attributed to Bruce. However, yesterday when I got home from work, I heard the cat puke ( Read more... )
