general update

Last night our neighbor was apparently having a wedding party because we got to enjoy very loud music (mostly drums) all night long.  Weddings here are done in these huge wedding halls decorated with neon and Christmas lights (much of which is burned out, so it gives them an odd, surreal look.)  But parties still include very loud all-night music ( Read more... )

Fringe season 3 is even better! Not finished watching it yet, it has been piling up on the TiVo.

I enjoyed Babylon 5 many years ago, though the first season felt weak.

Yeah first season of B5 is definitely weak. But fortunately the show gets better.

Cool about Fringe S3. One of the housemates watched up through S2 and has been anxiously waiting to watch S3 with his wife, except she doesn't like the show. So it looks like housemate and I may watch S3 together... which means I'll have someone to speculate with, which is cool.

Fringe is good when it's doing the worlds-crossing bit. Very imaginative alternate universe details.

Yeah, that's pretty much my opinion of it. The "monster of the week" stuff is tiresome, but seems to be becoming significantly less a staple of the show. The alternate universe stuff is very well done, though.

Yup. My all-time favorite episodes tend to be the ones focusing on Londo/G'Kar (particularly in S2 & S4,) but I think this one is the most impressively done of any of the show...

I've got two episodes of Season 4 Bab5 left to watch with my girlfriend (it's her first time watching the show). It's still really good on the re-watch seeing how all the foreshadowing ties together.

Yeah, I think I enjoy rewatching it as much as I did the first time through. There is so much foreshadowing and it is so amazingly tied together that you probably get more out of it the second time than the first.

It's fun watching it with people who haven't seen it, but then you can't go.. "OH! Did you see THAT! It's tied in this way, isn't that awesome?!?"

Enjoy the last 2 episodes. I HATE that they killed Ivonava and Marcus! (I understand how it all happened with Claudia Christian quitting and then the Marcus stuff already being locked in. But it is still annoying.)

And the last episode... is fun, in a random sort of way.

Just watched the season 3 finale tonight and am anxious to get to season 4.
