You may have heard about the attack on the Roots of Peace guesthouse Friday in which the Taliban announced that they attacked it because they were Christian and were converting Afghans to Christianity.  That in itself was bizarre because RoP is an agricultural NGO having nothing to do with Christianity.  It came out later that they were apparently ( Read more... )

Our security director emails us more than anyone else combined.  The emails cover all sorts of security, or just vaguely security'ish, topics.  We get a daily intel brief of anything that's happened that day as well as credible threats (which rarely to never actually happen.)  But he also sends out random notices throughout the day if something ( Read more... )
