Ugh, that post just pissed me off. For years now she's been an MIA mod (and refused any offers of help with running it) and now she's disappointed with US for not voting in one poll?

Yeah, I was thinking about that myself. I offered to help a few times at the beginning and never got taken up on it, so I stopped offering. But yeah, pissed me off, too.

It bothers me that I ended up leaving, because I always loved reading the fics, watching the vids, and looking at the art. I didn't always comment, which I know I should have done, but I appreciated it. And I loved that we were still shipping so hard after 3 1/2 years of no new canon.

For all of her ruining it for me, I will miss it. :(

Ditto! I offered to tag the WHOLE LJ and even make a new header or organize a header contest...and she just never got back to me on any of it.

Yeah :( I've friended a lot of people from the D/V comm so it's not too bad but it still sucks.

That was freaking awesome! I wonder if the same technique would work for personal LJs and not just at comms. I guess since it's all about me anyway, there's no way it could hurt. Right?

Oh, no, it's totally the bestest idea ever to bully your friends into doing what you want them to do by threatening to defriend them. I mean, people do it all the time, right? "Comment today or I'm going to assume you hate me and ~defriend~ you because your name on my friends list causes me ~pain~."

Interesting given that I asked permission to post Big Bang announcements there and never received any response back. *eyeroll* I think someone needs to learn about the two-way street of participation.

I'd have no problem with a hand-off maintainer at all, but if you're going to run a moderated community, you really should be around to, ya know, moderate it when necessary.
