This is definitely the way to encourage people to be more active.
Except when it isn't.
Just make sure that you screen the comments that you're demanding, so you can reject any from people who react negatively to your demands, and admit up-front that you aren't going to answer any of them anyway.
Because if there's one thing we've learned from fandom, it's that being demanding and dismissive of your members at the same damn time is a sure-fire way to make them all behave the way you want them to.
ETA: I was gonna stick around, just because Daniel/Vala is my SG1 OTP for life, but I left after all. I've never been the kind to accept being told I'm not the "right" kind of fan, and I just don't feel like I should start now.
ETA the second: In the interest of fairness, I thought I should point out that as of this morning, we have an apology. I haven't decided what to do with it, though, or whether or not I'll rejoin (if I'd even be allowed to).
