Fire Signs

Well, the wind has finally changed direction, blowing the majority of the smoke away from us. Last night I woke-up around 3:00AM and actually saw stars for the first time in days. It was lovely.

I'm glad the smoke is finally receding.

I'm a fire sign, too, and I also am a little uncomfortable around fire, especially in large amounts. How peculiar. You'd think we'd be more comfortable with our base element.

I wonder what the effect is for earth signs ... I don't think I've ever been terribly close to fires, didn't even catch a bushfire in Australia.

Anyway, I'm glad the smoke has cleared somewhat and that the fire signs can relax.

Earth usually has a grounding/calming effect on fire (think of how you can put out fires with soil or sand), but it can also be smothering. Of course, astrologically, it all depends upon what else is in your chart. I seem to have a lot of fire: Sag, Leo, etc. and, secondarily, air. Do you know what else you have?

And I'm excited for the Games, too. Did you get your invite?

Astrologically, I'm a water, and I have a natural affinity as well (how I love streams and the ocean!) and fire scares me. So I'm glad I'm not near the wildfire. I hope it didn't do extensive damage.

I should look more into elemental types. I'm so drawn to both water and earth (and looove doing pottery, which uses both)

I'm a water sign and I have...issues with fire. I feel uncomfortable working with it even in magical workings, and it generally backfires when I try. Having an uncontrolled fire nearby is definitely something that freaks me out
