I do love you and miss you. But I also kind of understand because although not due to depression, I often feel I have nothing to say. Just pop in every once in awhile, so we know you are still there.
Missed you a lot! Was wondering what was up,and if something bad had happened to you folks. good that everything seems to be moving forward. But woah.. three jobs? And Materinity clinic? How's all that play out?
And not sure if it's ok to ask or not... But why the Disab?
Hope that all keeps moving forward, and onward towards good!
LOL! Anything can happen in SecondLife. Women get pregnant there, too. I know, cause I help them to. ;o) Men can, furries...whatever. Anybody's welcome, as long as they pay the fees. ;o)
Disability because my depression and ADD have changed my brain, and I simply am incapable of working now. To put it bluntly, even with my meds, I'm incapable of functioning for any extended period the way I used to. I'm not consistent enough for a job anymore.
i was just thinking about you the other day and wondering what you were up to... welcome back chicky!
i still don't get the second life thing.. like, it's just a game like WoW, right? we've been discussing it at work trying to incorporate it into our website redesign but no one really knows much about it...
No, no...it's nothing like WOW. With WOW, you are fighting, you have quests, and what the game is meant to be is defined. SecondLife is, really, a second world. A virtual world. You can build a home, go to clubs, see live music, get a job, become a stripper, go a little hog wild...whatever you want. And while you're doing it, you can look however you've always wanted to look, can buy any clothing you see anywhere in world and know it WILL fit you, change your hair, skin, shape at the snap of your fingers, and build anything you can imagine.
Lots of real world companies are getting into SL and putting a presence for themselves there...Toyota, CareerBuilder, The Gap, T-Mobile. It's pretty neat. :o)
I very rarely feel like I have anything to say. I used to write about the daily stuff, even if it wasn't interesting. I just used to write. Now I feel like I need to be inspired. And sometimes, when something really interesting does happen, I'm too busy living life to write it down

I know, I'm so sorry, Elle....I promise not to disappear again. :o)
Yes, my new LJ icon is recent...it was yesterday. :o) And thank you!
Ok,now just for you...although I want you to know before and afters are humiliating when they don't look that different and you've lost this much weight. ;o)
Oh, it shows. Believe me, it shows. Especially in your face. Your face looks much slimmer. And your hips and legs too. You know what though? You look so relaxed in that second photo. I know it's a casual obligatory photo, but still... I have never seen a photo of you looking so relaxed in front of the camera. Way to go, Beth! Do I detect a little healthier self-esteem? :) I really am proud of you.
I'm sorry for the guilt trip about disappearing. I didn't mean to make it in to a big drama. So long as you're okay, that's cool. You look good. I'm happy. One of these days I'll post you a before/after pic of me too, although I haven't even lost half as much as you have. But hey, people can see the difference in me, so you better believe we can see it in you. :)
