Have you read The Dark Wife by Sarah Diemer? It's an amazing Hades/Persephone retelling, in which Hades is actually a woman, and the relationship is completely consensual. I have always loved the story of Persephone myself, and identified heavily with it, too, and this is literally one of the best re-tellings I've ever read.
