New Job Jitters

Apr 10, 2016 22:46

I start my new job tomorrow.

I shouldn’t be, but I’m anxious. The usual stuff. Did I make the right choice? Will I fit in at the office? Will I make any friends? What am I going to have for lunch? What if I miss the bus?

I hope I can sleep tonight….

Good luck.

You already know 1 person there so you should do fine.

I just hope you do not have to share a desk ;-P

I got my own desk. But it's going to move, probably tomorrow.

Jitters are perfectly normal! I still get them with each new assignment - including that "what if they find out???" thing. And if you really do a good job, they'll never quite go away. Complacency, I find, is the enemy of success and personal fulfillment. You will rock this thing - especially if you question yourself every day.

Good luck - and have fun!!

The first day is always full of jitters. I don't think you ever outgrow that "first day of school" feeling when you start at a new job. When I was job hunting, I looked for something that scared me, because I knew that meant it was going to be a challenge. =D
