Sunburned...

Oy, I have such a sunburn. If I don't put on sunscreen before faire opens, it never gets done. And right about the time I was getting ready to think about sunscreen (as in, after I got dressed, about 15 minutes before opening gate), we had four people show up and want to get dressed ( Read more... )

Because personally, I'm feeling like we're being used just a bit that would be a "yes" a bigger question who/how it can be enforced to be more diligent about 'the rules'

And I am sorry you are burnt. I hiss for your feet every time I see that gravel under you all.

I don't think she's doing it on purpose. I honestly think she'd just ditzy as all getout and it has just never occurred to her that all those e-mails we send about meetings might mean we expect her to actually attend one. But really, we have two small children in camp with another on the way, we need responsible grownups who can take care of themselves.

And my feet aren't happy with me either this morning. =(

Even if not coming to meetings-it's time she got costuming for them all. We are pretty easy-going about loaner gear but three years...

I feel the same way about new members. My league members are supposed to help at the ceramic show...that means do something besides sit. The youngest/newest member (she's 32) doesn't do anything...and then was one of the ones to complain about the low price guy

My French unit gives you 2 years I think, to use loaner equipment, before having to get/make your own. And they aren't super strict- you just have to have the basics, because they understand the expense in it. However to just drop off a boy and his sister and their friend while you go off and do something else is kinda not right. That's also why our group just put a new clause in our bylaws that states that we don't accept members under 16 (unless they're kids with their parents), and if someone 16-18 wants to join without parental involvement, someone has to be responsible for them. It seems to deter the "kid dropping."

This is the first time she's dropped off three kids. Up until now it's just been the son. Which is why things sort of came to a head and we were talking about her and realized "Wait a minute, it's been three years hasn't it?!?"

She did say something about bringing the friend's mother next weekend, so I think Stephen spoke to her about that at least.
