I am taking the other job position at work and I feel good about it. Of course I was initially upset, and I still think it was handled poorly, but overall I'm making the best decision. I've been reading the book "Only Child: writers on the singular joys and solitary sorrows of growing up solo," a collection of short stories by different authors reflecting on growing up without siblings. Tonight I'm going to a booksigning and reading by Charlaine Harris, the author of the southern vampire series that the HBO show True Blood is based on. I just got back from a long weekend in Michigan. Had a perfect weather day at the beach, fun with friends and my mom. Always on the go, my mom had numerous options for us on Saturday.
