Draco's 5 favorite spells.

Since the war ended, Draco has learned to appreciate the simplest of spells.

He uses lumos every night he sleeps alone, sweeping his wand through the darkness to banish the shadows and phantom screams that have haunted him for years.

Obliviate serves much the same purpose, though it wipes the shadows out of his mind instead of out of his bedroom. Harry disapproves, of course, but aurors travel a great deal, and Draco can't tolerate the memories when he's alone.

Reparo and scourgify are helpful, too. When Draco has his fits he breaks things sometimes, and Draco is sure to clean up the mess before Harry gets home ( ... )

2) Five Things That Make Mondo Happy

1. Mondo likes the chaos of carnivals, the mad jumble of colour and smells and noise. He likes that they're full of motion, but never really change.

2. Mondo likes dreamless sleep. People he knows assume his dreams must be full of action and colour and drama, but Mondo rarely dreams at all. His sleep is blissfully uneventful, like he's saving all the fantasy for his real life.

3. Mondo still wears flannel pajamas. His mom sewed them for him as a child, and they were the first item of clothing he ever made himself. Now he makes his own pajamas, and a new flannel nightgown for his mom every year.

4. Mondo loves how nothing is ever permanent in a kaleidoscope, how if you don't like a design all you need to do is rotate the tube to - instantly! - make something new and better. Kaleidoscopes make him feel free.

5. Mondo roots for the underdog, because he's spent most of his life wishing someone would root for him that way. Mondo's happy he's not the underdog now, but he remembers what it feels like
