When last I visited, LiveJournal was trying to monetize, badly. At the same time they were under constant ddos attack from the Russian govt, because apparently activists use LiveJournal in the USSR. I remember them spreading some ridiculous story about one old lady with a shovel cutting off all the Internet in Russia, and people hyucking it up ( Read more... ) -

Maybe LiveJournal's programming and UI department is riddled with Dreamwidth supporters and this is their subtle way of advertising for them? -

Second Wonder Woman costume photo will make your eyes water
Progress! We ditched the shiny lycra in favor of a richer and thicker material. The boustier is still crinkly. The shiny bits are okay - they almost look right - but the crinkly bodice make it look fake. I'm not a fan of the tiara. I want to own the pants.

The English word for whining is whingeing. I dunno if they pronounce the g. I've only ever noticed it in print

rec: come down off your throne
This starts out kinda slow, the writing is a little sloppy here and there, but it was a great experience. I found it emotionally affecting and there were some great images and descriptions...just...wow
