Crying over no nods for Gary Oldman. CRYING, I SAY. Some of the nominations have been surprisingly pleasant but overall I'm just getting an ehhh feeling. I'm really, really crossing my fingers for Fassy right now and just praying to...whatever that Gary Oldman can squeak by somehow at the Oscars. :/

There are plenty of movies I haven't seen yet that I'm hoping to while I'm home and perhaps abroad and I think that'll give me a better sense of things. But still.

I hope Peter gets another win for Game of Thrones at least. I'm also very, very happy Amy Poehler at least got a nod for a Golden Globe and of course Maggie Smith! I know everyone wants Steve Carrel to win for The Office but I'd be lying if I said I would mind if he lost to Ty Burrel sooooo either of them reall. But TV also has some really fail nods as usual, blah.

OLDMAN WILL NEED A MIRACLE. BAFTA will no doubt give him a nod, but unless he WINS, I don't think it even matters. The Academy has snubbed him before when he actually did have precursors (The Contender), but without precursors? It's like, no chance no way.

Omg, I don't even care about TV nods. Since I don't watch a lot of these shows anyways, it's like oh well. Most of the stuff I like got nominated at least, but Glee? LOL. Oh my god stop nominating this.

I'm surprised Olsen didn't get a nod for either. MMMM wasn't the best film ever but she really was captivating in it. I think her performance got one of the biggest emotional reactions from me this year.

Ehh, I think she's still in the race but I really expected her to be more like Jennifer Lawrence. She got a lot of her thunder stolen by Felicity Jones (who's been winning more of those breakthrough awards).

What was she in besides Like Crazy? I thought that was awful.

I was so excited that Hugo managed to snag a Golden Globe nomination, even though it doesn't have a chance in hell of winning (and it probably only got nominated because of the Scorsese factor, but whatever I'll take it).

As for Jessica Chastain, I'm going to pretend she was nominated for Take Shelter (I haven't seen Tree of Life because I already like my Windows screensaver *rimshot*).

I was floored when I found out that the most compelling performances in Midnight in Paris (Corey Stoll, Allison Pill, Tom Hiddleston) weren't included in the ensemble. What. I. THEY WERE THE REASON I LIKED THE MOVIE.

Scorsese will get nominated for well-reviewed films, that's for sure. I wonder if Hugo would be a bigger threat to win if it hadn't bombed at the box office.

I actually loved her in The Help too, so it's all good. I just think the glaring lack of Tree of Life in these nominations is making me mad. CLOONEY OVER MALICK? In what universe.

For Best Ensemble, I think you have to have your own title card to be considered, which has caused weird issues so many times that people should learn from it by now. Like for example, Josh Pence, the guy who played Armie Hammer's body double in TSN was included in the ensemble but Rooney Mara wasn't.

Supporting Actor - VIGGO!!!!!!!!! This category is unstable though.
I`m thrilled for Viggo! Not sure about his chances of winning though.

Kind of disappointed that 'Drive' didn`t get recognised for directing.

I need to watch 'The Help' and 'The Ideas of March' asap.

Oh no, he has shot at winning. Getting nominated is still a hurdle for him I think.

They clearly aren't that into Drive.. I mean, Gosling gets 2 nominations and neither if for Drive.
