Goewin has been here long enough to realize that strange and nasty things have been going on around her, and though she's not seen or heard or been affected by any of it, she's starting to worry about people she hasn't seen for a while. That includes her brother

Lounging in the common room is a knight Goewin has probably not seen at the Mansion yet. He's clearly from her period, though his gear is lighter than a knight's usual fare, leather and not chain mail, bows and short sword instead of the monstrous broadswords one usually expects.

He's doing nothing but daydream, and probably won't mind a distraction.

Also, Gwen and Nik will both have a notice up soon, and depending on how she feels after her current drama llama thread, I may throw Pandora at Lleu, since she's dating a smith. If you want. If this is intended only for Hephaestus, is cool, she's busy as hell anyway. If you want a Merlin, he's available too.

And WELCOME BACK! I was starting to get worried.

"Oh--your pardon, sir." She gives a sketch of a bow, and frowns a little. He looks right to her, more than most, but she doesn't know him.

I am just busy. And I can't stay awake late enough! drives me crazy. I was going to post last nite but fell asleep instead!

He stirs from his reverie, and stands, to bow to the young woman. He doesn't know her either, but she looks very right to him... and she's nobody that Lamorak or Dinadan mentioned - since --- or --- could she be...?

"Your Majesty."

She's younger than he imagined her to be.

The frown deepens, and then she gets it and gives him her crooked smile.

"No. I'm their daughter."

'Good day,' Eowyn says hesitantly, for if Goewin is touring the house it is more than likely they will cross paths.

"Eowyn of Rohan!" --with real delight.

[fairandcold]

"Lady Goewin," she answers, surprised, but pleased to be greeted so warmly.

"I've not seen you since the day you took my bow. How did you find it? And what have you been doing since?"

[knightsdaughter]

"What are you trying to find?"

[bravegoewin]

She slams a door.

"Nothing, I hope. I am unsettled!"

[knightsdaughter]

"Um...why?"

[bravegoewin]

"I don't know."

She pauses, hands on hips.

"Hey. Forgive me, I didn't realize it was you. This house... it eats at my brain sometimes."

"My lady?" in his usual shy, hopeful way, half-smiling.

[bravegoewin]

"Ah, Melou." She's a bit distracted, and doesn't at once look up from her awkward lefthanded scribbling. "Are you all right?"

"Ay, my lady. My brother and I are at work on our house."

[bravegoewin]

"Your house!"

She smiles a little back.

"Tell me!"

He's decided it's time to return the books that have been gathering dust in his room for months; he doesn't need the reminder. So he's got two fairly weighty tomes under his arm, when he sees her. "Lady."

She starts a bit. Neither twin can quite get over the similarity, and Goewin's recent memories of her half-brother and Not Good and Unresolved.

"Sir," she greets him coolly.

He watches her a moment, eyes bright and cautious. "How are you getting on?"

"Well enough, but I am ill at ease today, for no good reason."
