I see some similarities in our background. I didn't grow up LDS, but I DID grow up as a "non-denominational" (read, fundamentalist) Christian. The same stripe that builds and attends the Six Flags Over Jesus mega-churches like New Life down in Colorado Springs. While they don't have any particular restrictions on diet (aside from a heavy heavy frowning on booze), they DO have a heavy taboo on premarital sex. That's kinda off topic, but the result is the same - devout agnosticism upon entry into Real Adulthood. Hell, my userinfo even highlights my militant agnosticism: I don't know, and neither does anyone else.
And yeah, I tried the no-carb thing for awhile? I saw what kind of monster it made me, and I stopped. And there's no way in hell I can work for my current employer and NOT embrace the carbohydrate. I've got a more-or-less balanced diet happening; now if I can discipline myself to eat a little less of everything, I think I'll be healthier.
