it strikes me as humorous how i enjoy writing about writing. the process is ugly and tedious, but the results are spectacular. i've always compared our songwriting to the process of conception and birth. however tired that analogy may be, to me it is the perfect embodiment. everything i learned in high school and some of college never resonated.
