I was so yippy skippy happy to see this posting. I wait with some little patience for each new edition. Wow, Clark got his mad on here. It leaked out thorugh his Veil even :)Unfortunately it cost him a broken arm but the fact that he DID something, protecting his Master's honor, should do wonders for his self image. Thank you for this new yummy-ness. Wating patiently (yeah right ^-^)for the next one.

We always knew Super-Clark was lurking in there somewhere. ;)

LOL! I'm sprinkling my holiday cookies with this series and holiday-themed sugar. ;)
It's wonderful to see Clark's true nature starting to reassert itself - I love that he moved to keep Bruce from being hurt even though he himself was more vulnerable. I love the tension between Caldwell and Bruce too - lots of mayhem to come no doubt.

Always the hero! That's our boy! :)

Edmund is going to be busy in Arc 7, and who knows beyond? :)
Like I said before the Man of Steel is buried deep within Clark. Not so much in the sense of physical strength but in his strength of character and need to protect others, and in this he won't waver or step aside form this path

Good description! :)
Very well done in this chapter. It's so typical Clark not to think of the danger he is in, how vulnerable he really is in this situation, but to step between Caldwell and Bruce to take the blow Caldwell aims at Bruce.
It's Clark all over! ;)
Despite the pain Clark is in now, this made me smile. Yes the Sal-Vor begins to take form. Slowly but it's there, again after protecting Melody etc.
Yes, even that long ago his protective instincts came out. :)
As much as I want to see Caldwell punished and put away for good, can we have the "protect Master Bruce" scene again, but with Clark as Super...erm Sal-Vor protecting his mate

Edmund's mistakeevak9960December 6 2009, 01:44:24 UTC
Well, finally something that Bruce can do something about. Edmund attacked him physically. Though the result of the attack was Clark receiving a broken arm, it was intended for Bruce. And Clark's protection of Bruce can only be seen as noble and loyal as Bruce is a FREE MAN!!! And, there were plenty of witnesses to the attack. So, General Stark may be miffed that Bruce would put his Prize before his responsibilities to the meeting, and I'm sure we'll hear plenty about that from him, but he won't have much ground to stand on when he learns Bruce's property was harmed because Caldwell was attacking Bruce.
Edmund just keeps on pushing and pushing and pushing. Taunting and taunting and taunting Bruce. He resents the Prince of Gotham title and hates Bruce so where better to attack him but through his slaves.
Like I said, his mistake was in attacking Bruce, especially in Bruce's own building.

That is a mistake. Edmund can whack around Bruce's slaves but NOT the Prince of Gotham!

Stupid jack-ass Caldwell. *glares some more* I have a feeling there will be vengeance, and soon!
Poor Clark. :( And gods, more and more of his true character is coming out every day. That's not gonna be easy to keep a hold on for long!
